Tafa local government area is found in Niger state, North-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Wuse and the LGA shares boundaries with parts of the FCT. Towns and villages that make up Tafa LGA include Zuma, Jakoro, Iku, Garam, Ija, Wuse, Dogan kurmi, and New Bwari. The current estimated population of Tafa LGA is put at 159,005 inhabitants with the area mainly inhabited by members of ethnic affiliations such as the Gbagyi, the Koro and the Hausa. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in Tafa LGA while the religions of Christianity and Islam are mostly practiced in the LGA.
