Gassol

Gassol local government area is in Taraba state, Northcentral Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA in the town of Mutum Biyu. The LGA comprises several towns and villages such as Gunduma, Agungu, Samda, Yerima, Jafuma, Takai, Wurno, Gargala, and Kufai. The population of Gassol LGA is estimated at 132,988 inhabitants with the most prominent tribes in the area being the Mumuye ethnic group. A number of languages such as Mumuye, Hausa, Fufulde and Jukun are spoken in the area while Islam and Christianity are the most practiced religions in the LGA. Notable landmarks in Gassol LGA include the Dominion Farms and the Special Education Center in Mutum Biyu.
