Rano

Rano local government area is found in Kano state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria with headquarters of the LGA in the town of Rano. Towns and villages that make up Rano LGA include Yalwa, Zurgu, Kalambu, Tofa, Sanda, Mashe, Juma, and Barnawa. Rano LGA is part of the Rano Emirate and has an estimated population of 241,732 inhabitants with the area primarily populated by members of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic divisions. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is extensively practiced in the area.
