Rimin Gado

Rimin Gado local government area is domiciled in Kano state, North-west Nigeria with the headquarters of the LGA in the town of Rimin Gado. Rimin Gado LGA is a part of the Kano Emirate and is made up of towns and villages which include Janguza, Sakaratsa, Indabo, Wangara, Yango, Maigara, Butubutu, and Tamawa. The current estimated population of Rimin Gado LGA is put at 188, 930 inhabitants with the area primarily populated by members of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area.

The LGA is also a hub for agricultural practices with the area known for the cultivation of a variety of crops such as millet, sorghum, guineacorn, and soybeans.A number of animals such as rams, goats, horses, camels and cows are also reared and sold in Rimin Gado LGA.
