Baure local government area is situated in Katsina state which is part of the Northwest geopolitical division of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Baure while the LGA shares borders with parts of the Niger Republic. Baure LGA is made up of several towns and villages which include Babban Mutum, Kwasamawa, Faski, Baure, Yankirya, Kagara, Komo, and Taramanawa. The population of Baure local government area is put at 144,788 inhabitants with the vast majority being members of the Fulani tribe. Fufulde and Hausa are commonly spoken languages in Baure LGA while Islam is the commonly practiced religion within the area.
