Malumfashi local government area is situated in Katsina state, North-west Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Malumfashi. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages such as Marmawa, Sabon Gari, Yaro, Agagiwa, Fanisau, Karfi, Gora, and Makaurachi. The current estimated population of Malumfashi LGA is put at 202,619 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Fulani ethnic division. The Fufulde and Hausa languages are commonly spoken in Malumfashi LGA while the religion of Islam is widely practiced in the area. The Sarkin Malumfashi is the traditional Administrator of the LGA.
