Katsina local government area is situated in Katsina state, Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The LGA which doubles as the headquarters of katsina state is made up of several districts and streets such as Yaya Madaki, Zaka street, Zango street, and Kofar Kaura. The estimated population of Katsina LGA is put at 391,417 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s population consisting of members of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are widely spoken in the area while the majority of the residents of Katsina LGA are practicing Muslims.
