Kurfi local government area is in Katsina state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Kurfi. Kurfi LGA is part of the illustrious Katsina Emirate and is made up of a number of towns and villages which include Birchi, Yar Unguwa, Sabon Layi, Tamawa, and Kurfi.
