Kafur local government area is Katsina state which is domiciled in the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Kafur with the LGA comprising of a number of towns and villages such as Unguwar Danyawa, Malumfashi, Gamzako, Malamawa, Yar-talata, Kuraku, Dan kwaro, and Barakai. The estimated population of Kafur LGA is put at 149,801 inhabitants with the vast majority of the area’s dwellers being members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic group.
