Zango local government area is situated in Katsina state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Zango and the LGA shares boundaries with parts of the Niger Republic. Towns and villages that make up Zango LGA include Badake, Dargage, Gwamba, Kanda, Walawa, Zango, Yardade, Sara, and Rogogo. The estimated population of Zango LGA is put at 169,532 inhabitants with the area primarily occupied by members of the Hausa/Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are commonly spoken in the LGA while the religion of Islam is extensively practiced in the area. Notable landmarks in Zango LGA include the Government Girls Boarding Secondary School in Rogogo.
