Binji local government area is situated in Sokoto state which is in the Northwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Binji and comprises several towns and villages which include Samama, Jamali, Gwazzai, Bunkari, Binji, Inname, and Maikulki. The population of Binji LGA is put at 131,772 inhabitants with the majority of this number being members of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic divisions. Islam is the widely practiced religion in Binji LGA while the Fufulde language is commonly spoken within the area.
