Sabon Birni local government area is in Sokoto state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Sabon Birni. Sabon Birni LGA is bordered by parts of Niger Republic and the LGA made up of several towns and villages such as Tara, Kukawa, Gatawa, Tsamaye, Kalgo, Laginga, Gangara, and Makuwana. The LGA has an estimated population of 273,842 inhabitants with the area mostly populated by members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups.
