Kebbe local government area is found in Sokoto state, North-west geopolitical zone of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Kebbe. Kebbe LGA falls under the Sokoto South Senatorial district and shares boundaries with parts of Zamfara and Kebbi states. Kebbe LGA comprises of a number of towns and villages such as Dukura, Ungushi, Gwandi, Jabga, Margai, Matseri, Kebbe, and Fakku. The estimated population of Kebbe LGA is put at 149,529 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa language is commonly spoken in Kebbe LGA with Islam being the most practiced religion in the LGA.
