Gwadabawa

Gwadabawa local government area is domiciled in Sokoto state, Northwest Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Gwadabawa. A number of towns and villages make up Gwadabawa LGA and these include Gidan Kaya, Mammande, Zugana, Wodai, Dan Abba, Gigani, Chaucha, and Alela. The estimated population of Gwadabawa LGA is 167,098 inhabitants with the majority of the area’s inhabitants being members of the Hausa and the Fulani ethnic groups. The Hausa and the Fufulde languages are widely spoken in the area while Islam is the commonly practiced religion in the LGA.
